About Us

We are a local Texas farming family with a passion to provide excellent service in this regional centre on the NSW/Qld border. We are Greg, Heather, Tahlie and Lachlan. Heather’s family have been in the district since 1870. We aim to give you a genuine, modern Australian Texas welcome, offering great food, great service and clean, comfortable, cosy accommodation.

In 2018, we saw the opportunity to invest in this great little motel. As owners of the local Tahlan & Lachdale Poll Hereford studs run on the property “Eversley”, our vision is to create an unforgettable paddock to plate dining experience in Tahlie’s Restaurant. We believe that we can create a space in Texas that offers a warm welcome, great hospitality and modern Australian cuisine.
